Meet the three women leading the educational transformation at Marygrove

Marygrove College was known for a unique curriculum that imbued “all of its academic programs with social justice and citizen-leadership themes,” Model D correspondent David Sands wrote in 2019.

“Marygrove has held a special place in Southeast Michigan’s educational landscape for more than nine decades,” he added. “During this time, more than 44,000 graduates (of both bachelor’s and master’s programs) have been instilled with Marygrove’s distinctive educational vision.”

Detroit Creative Economy Census

Detroit has always been one of the most artistic and culturally significant cities, and both the Marygrove Conservancy and the Detroit Office of Arts, Culture and Entrepreneurship (Detroit ACE) aim to support and invest in the city’s creative industry, arts and culture organizations and artists.

The Marygrove Conservancy in partnership with Detroit ACE are conducting a comprehensive census to determine the breadth and depth of Detroit’s creative workforce, making it easier to improve arts and culture programming and secure funding.
