About Robbie Walker

Robbie Walker, Operations and Strategy

Roberta “Robbie” Walker brings 19 years of experience and leadership in real estate sales, development, commercial and residential property management. She has thrived in non-profit community and economic development and brings a cross-sector perspective having managed teams in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. During her tenure with Southwest Housing Solutions, she managed both residential and commercial mission-driven projects, fostering neighborhood economic development in Southwest Detroit and throughout the region.

Most recently, Walker led a team as a Realty Specialist at the Army Corps of Engineers managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar projects for the federal government. In that role she expertly navigated bureaucratic processes, managed negotiations and contracts, federal acquisition of property, infrastructure development and stakeholder engagement.

Walker earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Managerial Economics from the University of Michigan, Dearborn. She is a member of the Michigan Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtors, previous Board of Directors member of the West Bloomfield Optimist Club and is a licensed real estate broker.

Known affectionately as Robbie, she is passionate about the economic power of real estate, particularly in underserved communities. While Walker has managed many million-dollar projects, she is particularly proud of her work matching small-scale entrepreneurs with commercial spaces, and many homebuyers with the homes of their dreams.

Walker was brought on as the Director of Operations and Strategy for the Marygrove Conservancy in 2022. In this role, she will oversee the financial and administrative operations, campus community engagement and outreach, and property management operations of the campus. In addition, with the Conservancy leadership, she will develop strategies for sustainability and growth for maximum impact on the surrounding community.
