About Turkessa Baldridge

Turkessa Baldridge, Programs & Engagement

As the Director of Programs and External Engagement, Turkessa Baldridge supports a range of programs, community development, businesses, and nonprofits.

Turkessa earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Previously, she served as an Analyst for the State of Michigan Department of Energy, Labor, and Economic Growth. As an Analyst, she managed grant funds, worked to redesign, and integrate state online systems, and played a key role in the Automotive Recovery Task Force. She has also held positions in finance and administration for educational and nonprofit organizations. An advocate for affordable and accessible health care, she served as a board member of Covenant Community Care from 2018 – 2021. She is a Servant Leader with over 20+ years of experience driving new levels of community connection, team unification, and overall organizational success. She has been part of the Marygrove campus since 2020. As the Director of Programs and External Engagement she is excited to blend this altruistic-derived acumen to not only position Marygrove Conservancy for success, but do so all while propelling various community initiatives forward along the way.
