A $50-million commitment from the Kresge Foundation will help fund what officials have described as a one-of-a-kind school campus at Marygrove College that will serve about 1,000 students — and fuel neighborhood revitalization efforts in northwest Detroit. It’s the largest ever philanthropic investment in a Detroit neighborhood, officials said Thursday.
